On March 4th, 2026, partners of the cross-border RE-ASSIGN project gathered at CENTEXBEL VKC in Kortrijk for the project’s Steering Committee meeting.
The meeting provided an opportunity for partners to present the progress of their work and discuss ongoing activities related to the identification, sampling and valorisation of recycled plastics from complex products.
A highlight of the day was the demonstration of the sIRoPAD system, an innovative technology enabling automated polymer mapping using infrared analysis. This solution allows rapid identification of plastics in mixed materials and offers new opportunities to improve sorting and recycling strategies.
The meeting also strengthened the collaboration between the RE-ASSIGN partners in developing innovative solutions supporting a more circular plastic economy.
